Awesome sturdy construction and pretty solid finger print recognition. Mute mode makes it nice and discreet and it was pretty easy to mount.

I needed this for my Lexus EV, it took me a minute to find one that fits in the open under console glovebox. The open glovebox has tray sides so things don’t fly out so I attached styrofoam tubes they use for shipping on the bottom with double sided tape to keep it from sliding. It’s just what I had handy. I haven’t attached the theft wire yet, my car is least likely to get broken into because of the live cameras and car thieves know if you touch it a notice goes to the owners phone. I needed to be able to take it in and out to access the front buttons and lock and didn't want to permanently attach it regardless. The open glove box has a cigarette lighter that I put a flat head cigarette lighter charger with multi ports because it’s also where I charge my dash cam. I may move it to the regular socket on the back of the console facing the backseat later though. It’s perfect because it’s discreet and the biometric button is where you need it down by your right knee giving it space to pop out and quick access. It’s still visible to officers when getting pulled over. Review the sizes for the type of guns that fit to make sure it works for what you have, note it states attachments like lasers won’t fit.

Solidly built. Smooth action on the slide-out drawer. Fingerprint scanner works fine. There was some confusion in the manual's instructions on how to change the passcode ... finally discovered you need to slide your finger *inside* the case (literally underneath the #3 key) and press it there instead of on the exterior button. Once past that roadblock, changing the code proceeded without incident. While the safe is designed for a semi-automatic, my Ruger LCR 38+P revolver fits fine without modifying the interior. It's a snug fit so a larger revolver such as a .45 might require slicing out some of the padding. Bottom line: safe storage, swift retrieval of the weapon.P.S. One other point about installation: the four wood screws provided for the mounting plate are relatively small, and as I intended to install this on the sideboard of a bed, it occurred to me that with the safe's heavy weight, the small wood screws would probably eventually disintegrate and pull out of the manufactured wood. So I drilled completely through the sideboard and used four 1.25" machine screws held with locking nuts and washers on both sides. The photos show the result. I also folded an index card in half and taped it over the slightly protruding ends of the locking nuts to avoid snagging and tearing bed sheets.

In my 2024 F-150 XLT it fit perfectly. I was concerned the space between the seat and console might be too snug. But it was great. Snug enough to keep the safe secure without the need for the bracket, and still enough play for the seat to move forward when my shorter wife drives. For my Hellcat with green laser I did need to trim the bottom rubber retention block and also a small amount on the top to accommodate the iron sight.I am very pleased.
